On January 6th, SUNMI launched five new products, consisting of three desktop POSs, , namely, SUNMI D2s LITE, D2s COMBO, and D2 MINI , a mounted face recognition POS called SUNMI FT1 MINI, and a handheld POS named SUNMI P2. Designed by the renowned international industrial designer David Protet, they all are industrially beautiful and boast unique features, making themselves an ideal choice for beverage stores, restaurants, convenience stores, canteens, and supermarkets. SUNMI products appear on the Variety Show I Want to Open a Store, providing digital store solutions for the star’s stores.
Jointly broadcast by Jiangsu Satellite TV and Youku and sponsored by SUNMI, I Want to Open a Store, the first Chinese variety show on actual operation attended by stars and ordinary people, is being released. On the show, you can see scenes like Justin showing rustic lovers' prattle, Betty Wu acting as a shopping guide, problems arising between Orfila and her partner, Jingfei Guo soliciting customers from other stores, and Xiang Li going panicky due to being urged by customers.
Followed by a three-week fierce competition, the five groups of star-and-ordinary-people partners ushered in the store operation competition stage on January 10th, 22:00. As useful tools used by all relevant stars during store opening , SUNMI’s full set of devices and digital solutions designed for stores have drawn the attention of many netizens who are interested in store opening.

SUNMI attends NRF 2020, with its full line of products gaining industry-wide attention and recognition.
From January 12th to January 14th, SUNMI attended the NRF 2020 - Retail's Big Show, which is the largest global retail meeting and exposition. That was the third time that SUNMI had attended the event in New York, USA. During the event, SUNMI showcased digital store solutions and a complete series of business IoT devices in its ecosystem and disclosed its new products for 2020 to international partners.

On January 16th, at the invitation of the Beauty Fair delegation, Sam Su, the Senior Vice President of Global Sales of SUNMI, had been to Cornell University for the Beauty Retail Industry Forum. On the forum, he shared the topic titled New Era of Digital Transformation in Retail and cases about the latest Chinese digital store solutions for retail. The Beauty Fair is the largest one among all similar fairs in Brazil.

SUNMI scoops up two major design awards in a row, contributing to
defining new standards for business hardware.
At the end of 2019, SUNMI scooped up two design awards in a row. SUNMI’s handheld scanner won the Good Design Award 2019 (G-mark 2019) for its excellent industrial design. In the meanwhile, SUNMI OS won the Red Dot Design Award.
These two awards both are the most significant ones in the design industry. And the G-mark from Japan is the most authoritative and influential design award in Asia, while the Red Dot Award, dating back to 1955, is one of the largest and most influential international design competitions, known as the Oscars in the design industry.
So far, SUNMI has received 12 leading international design awards.

Themed “Stay with You Again”, SUNMI’s year-end party concludes.
On January 18th, 2020, SUNMI’s year-end party concluded. The theme of this year-end party was staying with you again. SUNMI prepared 11 stalls for the party to display special delicious food and games that were common in our childhood and make all of us feel a strong atmosphere of the new year. There were stalls where you could make dough figurines and sugar figurines. There were stalls where you could find goods for the new year, clown balloons, and others.
Captain Jack LIN’s message to all SUNMI people is: Always acting with altruism and doing things that benefit the people around you, the society, and other people; Always embracing changes, growing ourselves during the changes, and being brave to initiate changes in line with the trend during growth; Regarding our current business as restarting a business and always remembering that we have just embarked on our road to greater success.

SUNMI helps “Sancengmalu”, one of Chongqing’s internet celebrity streets, become a smart innovative street of culture, business, and tourism.
On January 16th, SUNMI signed a cooperation agreement with the corresponding organization in charge of the cultural, commercial, and tourism project of the first development area of Sancengmalu, Chongqing. Leveraging its smart IoT devices and digital store systems, SUNMI will help the People’s Government of Chongqing Yuzhong District make Liziba Sanceng Malu, one of Chongqing’s Internet celebrity streets, a first-class Chinese smart street.
SUNMI’s Senior Vice President Xinde LI said, “We have used our most advanced digital store system in the cultural, commercial, and tourism project of the first development area of Sancengmalu. Merchants running a store in the street will enjoy various smart services in looking after a store, analyzing the consumption hotspot, customer group, and customer flow curve.”
