
SUNMI Care Premium-Extended Warranty Service
SUNMI Care Premium-Extended Warranty Service is a value-added service designed by SUNMI to extend the life-cycle of devices and ensure business continuity. By purchasing the Extended Warranty service, customers can enjoy additional years of professional technical support, repair assurance, and backup device services on top of the standard warranty period from SUNMI, safeguarding the customer’s usage experience and business operations.
Purchase Conditions
Purchase with the products: Customers can purchase the extended warranty service simultaneously when purchasing new products
Inactivated devices: Within 12 months from the dispatch date of the SUNMI and if the device has not been activated, the extended warranty service can be purchased separately.
Activated devices: If the device has been activated and is within the warranty period, renewal can be applied for within 30 days before the warranty expires (the device must be functioning normally and without any artificial damage or accidental damage).
Note: The extended warranty service can only be purchased under the condition that the product has a standard warranty period.
Extended Warranty duration & effectiveness rules
Total duration regulation: The cumulative duration of the standard warranty period and the extended warranty period shall not exceed 5 years (including 5 years).
Effectiveness rules: The extended warranty period will take effect the day after the original/standard warranty expiration date.
Service Process and Notes
Purchase process: √ Online purchase: Log in to the SUNMI official website → Select value-added service products → Add extended warranty service → Complete payment → Electronic certificate generated instantly. √ Offline purchase: Contact SUNMI authorized partner → Submit device serial number → Sign a service agreement.
The pricing of extended warranty service fee is offered based on the device models and the duration of purchase.
Effectiveness confirmation: An electronic certificate for extended warranty service will be generated after purchase; click on【Warranty Inquiry】to check the device's warranty status.
The coverage of the Extended Warranty service is the same as that of the standard SUNMI warranty service. Click on【SUNMI Warranty Policy】to view the related content.
The Extended Warranty service does not support returns or refunds.
Exclusions Explanation and Exemption Statement
Non-applicable product types:
Consumables: Such as printer components, scanner components, cameras, gears, paper shafts, batteries, chargers, etc.
Accessories: SUNMI Blink, 2D bar code scanners/SUNMI U2, commercial 89-key keyboards, SUNMI power banks, Mini cash drawers, 80mm kitchen cloud printers, 58mm thermal receipt printers, and etc.
Special channel products: Products sold through e-commerce channels are subject to the relevant policies of the e-commerce platform, customized products are subject to the terms of the sales contract.
Discontinued or obsolete models: Refer to the list of discontinued or delisted devices published on the SUNMI official website.
Other non-applicable scenarios and exemption statement; Repairs under specific conditions may incur additional charges, including but not limited to:
Exceeding service life: Expiration of extended warranty service.
Artificial damage/CID : Screen cracks, drops, liquid, corrosion, compression deformation, scratches, etc.
Improper operation: Unauthorized firmware flashing, virus attacks, system tampering, data loss.
Unauthorized repairs: Device damage resulting from disassembly, modification, or repair without authorization from SUNMI.
Environmental factors: Failures caused by natural disasters or abnormal environments such as lightning strikes, high temperatures, humidity, or abnormal voltage.
Force majeure factors: Damage to devices caused by force majeure events such as wars, earthquakes, strikes etc.
Exceeding usage scope: Failures caused by using the device for illegal purposes or outside the operational range outlined in the manual.
Other failures or damage caused by issues not related to the device’s quality itself.
